Tips for Cleaning and Care of your Jewelry
Properly caring for your handcrafted jewelry will ensure it is well preserved for years to come. You can keep your jewelry in good condition by:
- Avoiding contact with chemicals, perfumes, hairspray etc. Make jewelry the last thing you put on before leaving the house.
- Household and pool chemicals, sea salt and even hard water leave a film on your jewelry. Remove jewelry when swimming, exercising or cleaning.
- Copper, silver and gold will eventually tarnish or discolor if left out. Store jewelry in a jewelry box with the lid closed to reduce the tarnishing.
